US M132 Flamethrower

Alex Valz | Academy #13266

The M132 Armored Flamethrower was a U.S. Army tracked flamethrower vehicle based on the M113 armored personnel carrier. Introduced in the early 1960s, it replaced the M113’s commander’s machine-gun cupola with an M10-8 flamethrower turret and carried fuel and compressed-gas equipment inside the hull. Operated by a two-man crew, the M132 could project burning fuel roughly 200 meters. It saw extensive service during the Vietnam War, where its mobility and intense firepower were particularly effective against bunkers, fortified positions, and dense vegetation.
